In Cyprus Supporting those in Need

Children in LC Waikiki

Whilst recently in Cyprus we managed to spend some time with a group of children from the oncology department.  After a cinema show at the children’s unit we all had a meal with the kids,  and their parents and siblings at Eciz in Nicosia. Then each child seeing treatment was able to purchase clothes at LC Waikiki department store Nicosia.

We were also joined by Zelis who was with us representing Kemal Saracoglu foundation.  A massive thanks for their support.

It was such a great pleasure meeting these families and the beautiful children enjoying a memorable day with plenty of smiles . Thank you all so so much for all your ongoing support and donations to Tanyel’s smile that able us to make this happen .

London to Paris – Awards Ceremony

Team in Paris
On Friday 28/09/18 we held a Thank You medals ceremony for our London to Paris cycle event.
The 24-hour punishing ride was held great achievement and to thank all of our riders and support team each attended the ceremony and received their medals from Cey amd Gulay.  The event was at the Warren Metropolitan police sports club and we celebrated with lovely home made special cakes made by Helen and Cumhur.  A lovely time was had by all.
We have now reached and smashed our total fundraising target of £10,000 with the total now raised at a massive £13,000.
At the end of our celebrations Gulay announced our 2nd cycle event destination for 2019, which will be Bruges in Belgian, when we will be hoping to double our cycle team for Tanyel’s Smile.
Thanks again everyone.

Thank You Yana

Yana

There are many ways in which you can support us.  Yana Smith, a friend of Tanyel’s who shared a love of gymnastics, decided to shave her hair for Tanyel’s Smile .

We can’t explain how proud we are of her, it was a fabulous gesture and great fund-raising from Yana. As she put it…..

I honestly cannot put into words how touched I am by all your amazing kind words and generous donations. I started this fundraiser thinking I would struggle to meet £200, and you smashed it in less than 24 hours! Today we hit £500 and I’m bald as a….

Tanyel was such a big part of my life as a child and she should still be here today, spreading love and kindness like she always did. Luckily her beautiful parents Gulay and Ceyhun continue to do this with their charity in her memory, Tanyel’s Smile, which is where your donations are headed!

I’m honestly so overwhelmed, and promise I’m not having a quarter life crisis, a bit of hair is nothing in comparison to the lives of children suffering from cancer and their mums, dads, sisters and brothers

Thank you all so much again xxx

Berlin Marathon

Berlin Medal 2
This week Cey completed the BMW Berlin Marathon in memory Tanyel’s Smile and raised about £200.  A big thank you to everyone who provided sponsorship.  It was very hot weather but an awesome race.  As you probably know the world record was broken by Eliud Kipchoge (he finished a little ahead of Cey).

Cey’s next marathon will be Athens on the 11th November 2018.  Any support you can offer will be gratefully received,

Thank you
